Book a Tour

You can book a tour ahead of time by calling us at (360) 496-0070, Monday-Saturday 10am-3pm PST, or simply walk in and request one.

We are currently offering both solo and group tours. Our building can accommodate groups of up to 40 people.

Train Depot Tour

Our historic train depot is set up for daily tours, exploring the old Pacific railroad that ran through Morton as a hub for both logging and mining exports. An experienced docent will walk you through the main rooms, where conductors and operators met to unload and reload freight. In the back room, you'll see the original wooden flooring and walls of the train depot from 1910 in our extensive logging exhibit.

Museum Tour

Within the museum and visitor center, we are constantly changing and adding new exhibits, so it's never the same thing between your visits with us. An experienced docent will lead you through Morton's history, including our permanent Native American display dedicated to longtime resident Mary Kiona of the Cowlitz Tribe.

Currently, our main exhibit is the third Family Legacy: Homesteaders- The Coleman Family.
